OSMO Membership

Join Oregon's statewide community of oncology professionals committed to advancing high-quality cancer care through education, advocacy, collaboration, and leadership.

For decades, the Oregon Society of Medical Oncology (OSMO) has brought together Oregon's oncology community to improve patient access to high-quality cancer care through professional education, collaboration, and advocacy.

Membership includes complimentary registration to OSMO's Spring and Fall Membership Meetings, featuring nationally and regionally recognized speakers, educational sessions, networking receptions, member dinners, and timely updates on clinical advances, advocacy, reimbursement, and issues affecting the practice of oncology.

Membership Types

Active Membership

Active Membership is available to physicians licensed and practicing in Oregon in medical oncology, hematology, gynecologic oncology, surgical oncology, or radiation oncology, as well as Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who work for a practice primarily engaged in oncology.

Group Membership

Group Membership is available to Oregon oncology group practices composed of physician specialists practicing medical oncology, hematology, gynecologic oncology, surgical oncology, or radiation oncology.

Fellows-in-Training Membership

Complimentary membership is available to hematology and medical oncology fellows training in Oregon. Fellows receive all the rights and privileges of Active Membership throughout their training.

Entry-Level Membership

Physicians during their first year of practice in Oregon are eligible for a complimentary one-year membership and receive all the rights and privileges of Active Membership.

Emeritus Membership

Emeritus Membership is available to retired members who previously qualified for Active Membership.

Membership includes complimentary registration to OSMO's Spring and Fall Membership Meetings, bringing together oncology professionals from across Oregon for high-quality educational programming, networking receptions, member dinners, and meaningful discussions on the latest clinical advances, scientific developments, reimbursement, legislative and regulatory issues, and practice management.

State & National Leadership

OSMO represents Oregon's oncology community at both the state and national levels. As an affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, OSMO participates in the ASCO State Affiliate Council, ensuring Oregon's voice is represented in national discussions on advocacy, quality, and cancer care delivery. OSMO also collaborates with the National Comprehensive Cancer Network through its State Affiliate Program, partners with the American Society of Hematology on initiatives affecting hematology and oncology, and has a seat at the table with the Oregon Medical Association to advocate for policies that improve patient access to high-quality cancer care across Oregon.

Advocacy

OSMO serves as the voice of Oregon's oncology community by advocating for legislation, regulations, and public policies that improve patient access to high-quality cancer care and support oncology professionals throughout the state.

Collaboration

OSMO connects oncology professionals from across Oregon to exchange ideas, share expertise, build lasting professional relationships, and work together to advance cancer care for patients throughout the state.
